1. About these terms
These terms apply to everything you book or buy with ReCalibrate, whether online, in the app or at the studio. ReCalibrate is run by Re:calibrate Ltd, Unit 9, Avon Close, The Granby, Weymouth DT4 9XB. You can contact us at hello@recalibratestudio.co.uk.
By booking or buying, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
2. Booking and cancelling classes
- Classes are booked through our booking system. A place is only confirmed once it shows as booked.
- You can cancel up to 24 hours before a class and the class is returned to your account.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or don't attend, the class is charged in full. For passes and memberships the class is used, and for drop-ins the fee isn't refunded.
- Please arrive a few minutes early. For safety, we can't admit anyone more than 5 minutes after a class has started, and the class is then charged in full.
- If a class is full you can join its waitlist. If a place opens up you'll be booked in automatically and notified, and the usual cancellation window applies.
3. Tasters and introductory offers
- Tasters and introductory offers are for people new to ReCalibrate, one per person.
- If you've paid for a taster, you get £10 off your first introductory offer when you buy it within 7 days of your taster, using the code we send you. Complimentary and gifted tasters don't qualify.
- Introductory offers must be used within 30 days of the first class booked.
- They are for the person who bought them, and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash. If you're injured or unwell, see section 11.
- Join a membership within 7 days of your introductory offer expiring, and you get a free guest pass to use in your first month.
4. Class packs
- Each pack contains five classes of the type shown, to be used within six weeks of purchase.
- Unused classes expire at the end of the six weeks and can't be refunded or transferred. If you're injured or unwell, see section 11.
5. Memberships
- Every membership includes four classes a month of the type shown. You can use them however suits you, including all four in the same week.
- Your classes renew each month on your billing date. Unused classes don't carry over, so use them within the month.
- Members can book extra classes at member top-up rates.
- Monthly: a 3-month minimum term, then rolling monthly. After the minimum term you can cancel with one month's notice, through the app or by emailing us. You can keep booking classes until your notice ends.
- Annual: a 12-month commitment, paid upfront or in 11 monthly payments (your 12th month is free). If you pay monthly, you're committing to all 11 payments.
- Annual memberships can't be cancelled early, except for medical reasons (with a note from a doctor or other health professional) or where the law requires. If we agree a medical cancellation, we'll refund or stop charging for the months you haven't used, less any discount you've already received.
- Annual prices are fixed for the 12 months. Monthly prices may change, with at least 30 days' notice.
- Priority booking opens 7 days ahead for monthly members and 10 days ahead for annual members.
- Memberships are personal and can't be shared or transferred.
6. Pausing your membership
- If you need a break, pause your membership rather than cancelling. A pause keeps your membership, your price and any founder status.
- Monthly members can pause for up to 4 weeks a year, and annual members for up to 8 weeks a year. Each pause is at least 2 weeks. Please tell us at least 7 days in advance, through the app or by email.
- During a pause, monthly payments stop and your minimum term is extended by the paused time. For annual members, the pause is added to the end of the membership, and instalments continue as normal.
- You can't book or attend classes while paused, and no classes build up.
- Medical, pregnancy and postnatal pauses are available on top of this, for up to 3 months at a time, with a note from a doctor, midwife or other health professional. We'll accept shorter notice where needed.
- Unused pause allowance doesn't carry over to the next membership year. Your membership restarts automatically on the agreed date.
7. Cancelling, rejoining and changing your membership
- When your notice period ends, your membership, any remaining classes and your member benefits end.
- If you rejoin after cancelling, you start a new membership at the current price, and a new 3-month minimum term applies to monthly memberships. If you completed your original minimum term and rejoin within 30 days, we'll waive the new minimum term.
- You can upgrade to a higher membership (for example, Mat to All Access) at any time. The new price starts on your next billing date, and your minimum term carries on where it was.
- Monthly members can move to a lower membership after their minimum term, with one month's notice. Annual memberships can be upgraded, by paying the difference for the months left, but not downgraded.
- If a payment fails, we'll let you know and try again over the next 7 days. You can't book new classes until it's paid, though classes you've already booked stay booked. If a payment is still unpaid after 14 days, we may end your membership, and payments due for the rest of your minimum term or annual commitment remain payable.
8. Private sessions
- One-to-one, duet and private group sessions are 50 minutes.
- Packs of 4 must be used within 6 weeks, and packs of 8 within 12 weeks. Unused sessions expire and can't be refunded or transferred.
- Private sessions can be cancelled or moved up to 24 hours before. Later than that, the session is charged in full.
- For duets and private groups, one person cancelling late doesn't cancel the session for the others, and the late cancellation is charged as normal.
- If you arrive late, your session still finishes at the booked time.
9. Curated Experience
- The Curated Experience starts with a one-to-one consultation with Hannah (£65). If you join within 14 days, the £65 comes off your first month.
- Standing bookings are held for you each week. If you can't make one, please release it at least 24 hours before so another member can use it.
- Pricing and term are agreed individually, and confirmed in writing before you join.
10. Founding membership
- Founding membership is limited to twenty places.
- A £25 deposit holds your place. It is credited to your first month when you start your membership. The deposit is refundable on request until 31 January 2027, or until your membership starts if that's sooner.
- Founders choose a monthly or annual membership, and keep its benefits alongside their founder privileges. Upgrading or downgrading keeps your founder status.
- Founder privileges last for as long as your membership continues, including through any agreed pause. They end if the membership is cancelled, or if you don't return when an agreed pause ends, and they can't be transferred.
- If you cancel and rejoin within 30 days, we'll reinstate your founder status and rate, once.
11. If you're injured or unwell
- If an injury, illness or pregnancy stops you using an introductory offer, class pack or private pack, tell us before it expires. With a note from a doctor, physiotherapist, midwife or other health professional, we'll freeze it once: for up to 4 weeks for introductory offers, or up to 6 weeks for class packs and private packs.
- Classes already used aren't returned. If you're advised not to exercise for longer than this, contact us and we'll look at a credit for your unused classes.
- Members can take a medical, pregnancy or postnatal pause (section 6).
12. Guest passes
- Annual members receive two guest passes a year. Founders receive their plan's allowance plus two a year.
- One guest per member per class.
- Guests must be new to ReCalibrate, and each guest can only come free once.
- Spare places only. Guest passes can't be used for waitlists or full classes.
- Book in advance, and the member must attend the same class.
- The guest completes the health form and waiver before the class.
- Guest passes have no cash value and can't be transferred. Unused passes don't carry over to the next year.
- Founder perks, including guest passes, end if the membership is cancelled.
13. Referrals
- A friend who books a taster through your personal referral link pays £10. Once they've booked, you receive £5 credit towards your first class.
- Referral credit has no cash value and expires after 3 months.
14. Your health and safety
- Everyone completes a health questionnaire and waiver before their first class, and updates it if anything changes.
- Please tell your instructor before class about any injury, condition, medication or pregnancy, and check with your GP if you're unsure whether exercise is right for you.
- Your instructor may adapt a class for you, suggest a different class, or ask you not to take part if they believe it isn't safe. If this happens before class starts, the class is returned to your account.
- Follow your instructor's guidance on the equipment, and only use the apparatus during a class or session.
15. Hot classes
- Hot classes take place in our infrared room at 35–45°C, depending on the class.
- Hot classes aren't suitable during pregnancy, or if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a history of fainting or heat illness, or epilepsy, or are recovering from a fever or illness. Some medications affect how your body handles heat. If any of these apply, please speak to your GP before booking.
- Come well hydrated, bring water, and don't take a hot class after drinking alcohol. Leave the room at any time if you feel dizzy, sick or unwell, and tell your instructor.
- Your instructor may ask you to step out of the heat, or not to take part, if they're concerned for your safety.
- Hot classes are for over-18s only.
16. Pregnancy, after birth and age
- Please tell us as soon as you know you're pregnant. You can keep coming to non-hot classes with adaptations, or join our pregnancy classes.
- After birth, you can return once you've had your postnatal check (usually at 6 to 8 weeks) and been cleared to exercise by your GP or midwife. After a caesarean, this may take longer. Please tell your instructor before your first class back.
- Group classes are for ages 16 and over. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to complete their health form and give consent. Under-16s can take part in private sessions or classes we run for younger students, with a parent or guardian's consent.
17. Studio etiquette and photos
- Please be kind and respectful to instructors, staff and other clients. Phones on silent, and please wipe down your equipment after use.
- We may refuse entry, or end a membership or booking, if someone behaves in an unsafe, abusive or discriminatory way, or repeatedly ignores safety guidance. If we end a membership for this reason, we'll refund any payment for time not yet used.
- We sometimes take photos or short videos in classes and at events for our website and social media, and we'll always tell you before a class is filmed. If you'd rather not appear, tell your instructor or email us. You can ask us to remove an image of you at any time.
- Please don't photograph or film other clients without their permission.
18. Payments, refunds and your right to cancel
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT.
- If you buy online, you have 14 days to change your mind and receive a refund, unless you've already started using what you bought. If you have, we'll deduct the value of what you've used.
- Apart from this, purchases are non-refundable, except where these terms say otherwise or we cancel something you've booked.
19. If we cancel or change a class
- Classes need a minimum number of bookings to run. If a class doesn't reach it, we may cancel it, and we'll let you know by app notification and email as early as we can.
- If we cancel a class, the class is returned to your account straight away. If you paid for a drop-in, you can choose a full refund or a credit. Where we can, we'll offer you a place in another class ahead of the waitlist.
- We may occasionally need to change a class time or instructor. We'll tell you as early as we can, and you can cancel without charge if the change doesn't suit you.
- If we have to close the studio unexpectedly, for example because of a power or heating failure, affected classes are returned to your account or refunded.
20. Our responsibility to you
- Exercise carries some risk. We reduce it through qualified instructors, well-maintained equipment and your health form, and we ask you to follow your instructor's guidance and tell us about any health changes.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude.
- We're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for injury caused by not following guidance or not telling us about a health condition.
- Please keep valuables with you. We're not responsible for personal belongings left in the studio, unless they're lost through our negligence.
21. Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
- If a change affects your membership in a significant way, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel without the usual notice period if you don't accept it.
